Advocacy Day

About

The purpose of Advocacy Day is to extend the mission of LSPA by influencing the legislative houses. Often this is accomplished by having participants discuss specific legislation/bills that LSPA is advocating for or against with lawmakers. This may be done formally in a committee session or via informal meetings with legislators in the Rotunda/Memorial Hall where we typically set up tables and share materials to promote our positions and the profession. Participation is FREE.Register here

Guests: Depending on the day/time/topics we will be advocating for, it may be appropriate to bring guests or family members to Advocacy Day.

Location: Louisiana State Capitol, Rotunda/Memorial Hall, 900 North 3rd Street, Baton Rouge, LA

Date: 3/30/2020 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
  • Join us for for any or all of this time!
  • This event is typically scheduled early in the legislative season when educational, mental health, and other legislation relevant to our mission is being discussed in committees.
See our Advocacy Page for more information.
